London Fashion Week 2011: Holly Fulton Spring/Summer 2012

LFW 2011: Holly Fulton Spring/Summer 2012
For spring/summer 2012 designer Holly Fulton took her muse on a road trip that was heading for Vegas but ended up in Margate.

Versace-esque prints circa late 1990s were sprayed across light jersey fabrics in sea blues, mint and sorbet colours using coral, sea shells, sea horses and jellyfish to set the trend.

Quirky and fun this collection was for THE party girl who has a hard time saying no to a night out. Dresses were adorned with collar embellishment and a few skirts came with statement studs or frou frou feather bottoms in sky blue. Apart from pastels Fulton also added dove grey, black and coral pink into her palette.

Models also adorned geometric print – which was the stamp used for Fulton’s show invitations – bikinis, cardigans and dresses in monochrome.

Lastly, as most of Fulton’s pieces came complete with column style prints, her models seemed to transform into a god themselves, such as Aphrodite herself showing off their sexual side in cute sequin embellished sunshine dresses – playing on sexuality but probably ending up more like a sexy 70s bond girl.
