The HCG Diet Plan

HCG Diet Plan

As with all diet plans, results will vary according to your frame size and will power to succeed. The golden rule is consult with your doctor before embarking on any change from the normal diet that proclaims a substantial weight less, all of us humans are made differently stating the obvious, but there are a lot of people playing the diet game and who sometimes loose sight of what can be achieved without harming your overall health.

So let’s crack on The HCG Diet another new diet regime comes to the fore.
HCG is the acronym for Human Chorionic Gonadotropin,  its a hormone naturally produced by the placenta in pregnant women but don’t be alarmed ,the one that you would have access to is a natural product created under laboratory conditions using sterile cells and in small doses.

The essence of this diet is that your metabolism is affected by this HCG hormone being present in your body, the brain via the hypothalamus is sensed into thinking that the body is going into hunger mode and starts to use the stored fat to compensate for the shortfall in calories caused by the reduced intake that is part of the plan.

The HCG diet appears to be quite drastic when you see how much calories can be ingested 500 to be precise. Ordinarily this would be quite a dramatic drop for anyone let alone for the super controlled humans with great will power. The intervention of the HCG balances off the impact of such a reduced calorie intake by sending the brain signals to start work on converting the fat to release the energy required to survive.

This diet is for obese people not for those who only want to shift those odd few pounds.
The 500 a day calorie makes you wonder how will you cope ....will you be too hungry and suffer from  mood changes, facts from the HCG diet plan suggest that HCG actually makes you feel satisfied and so the normal hunger pangs wont kick in with great effect if the rest of the program is followed to the full, any deviation and you will not win.

HCG works in a way that wasn’t imaginable years ago, to think that you can trick your brain into releasing 3000 to 4000 calories from stored fat and not lean muscle this would seem to over compensate your normal daily calorific intake if that daily intake isn’t greater than 3000 to 4000 calories in which case you may not achieve the required result.

This calorie intake is less than what is burnt ,a simple equation that says weight loss...so it works.
Initial results show  quick weight loss, a BIG selling point of any diet, women can loose up to ¾ of a pound and men will be less.

To verify that plan is working do the usual take the before and after pictures to see the full effects of your diet plan. The suggested weight drop will simply mean that your body shape will change quickly but in a good manner.

Success on the HCG diet can only be achieved by adhering strictly to the principals of Dr Simeon’s book “Pounds and inches: a New approach to Obesity”, in it the diet protocol is explained in a easy to read and understandable 50 page book.

Unfortunately the exact science of how the HCG hormone works doesn’t provide success if only certain bits of the diet are read and applied; it’s simply all or nothing.

The premise is that you eat only what’s suggested and no replacing something else because you think its ok ,drinking  plenty of water up to 2 liters a day is required  as is abstaining from the using any oil based products for personal care.

Outline of the diet plan
This diet is restrictive and can be costly so be prepared the HCG drops will have to be purchased for a 21 day time period.

A few tips:
1) Be prepared for the changes that will take place and be patient and persevere as long as there are no adverse affects caused by the diet.

2) Make a appointment to see a qualified dietician first and then your doctor to see how much weight loss is advisable in the initial stages of the diet program, do some more additional back groundreading of facts and get the full picture of the diet program i.e. what are the advantages and disadvantages of the program, look at the side affects however minor they be, a small change can trigger the body to fight the new change if its not in the interest of the body.

The loading phase is the initial of the three phases of the program during the first two days and in it you load up your body with food (good food...not junk) and build the energy and nutrients to help you through the remaining days of the diet.

Now comes the second phase the hardest phase...this is pay back time for those layers of fat to start disappearing, you start from here; it’s sometimes referred to as the VLCD (the Very Low Calorie Diet)
The reason is ,this is where your calorific intake is pinned at 500 calories, this can only be achieved by following the plan strictly so certain stated foods will have to be removed from  the diet whilst others will come in ,elimination of sugar ,carbohydrates  and fats is what’s needed, no sugar drinks and no caffeine, fruits  can be eaten to bolster the lack of sugar eating meat is down to just 200grams of lean meat .

Once the body has time to get used to the changes the next phase is entered i.e. the stabilization phase ,here  you start to increase your calorie intake  and this too lasts for 21 days after which time your return to your normal new healthy eating diet.

To succeed on this diet means strict adherence of the program  reports suggest that in the long term up to 70%  keep the weight off ....now that sounds great.
