* Extremes, in reality any extreme changes in diet control will not have the desired final effect... weight loss as it should be.
The human body will react to combat the different mode of metabolism if a sudden change is made and the body will thus go into survival mode and prepare for the body to survive as the forced change was too sudden, hence the reason why a sudden change in diet will not work, introduce yourself to a gradual change in diet that will reap long term end results.
Keep to the basic of dieting, eat less and exercise more.
The expression of having your cake and eating it too often doesn’t ring true when dieting is used is the same expression, but the reality is you can have your cake and eat it too as long as the cake is in moderation and hopefully not too often.
* Love yourself, easier said than done, when you are desperate to lose a large amount of weight, this is can be hard to do. The essence of this is to allow yourself to cope with the challenge of dieting without getting dragged into despair due to the lack of confidence, which is always compounded bylow self esteem... looking at yourself and not loving what you see can lead you away from the diet control that you need to maintain.
Love yourself and the self confidence you have within will help you to get through a diet.
* Wearing Clothes that fit you....don’t try to wear clothes that once used to fit when you know clearly that it’s not going to fit, use that as a challenge if that is what could possibly drive you to succeed in getting to your goal of the ideal weight.
Till you get to where you want to compromise and wear clothes that will be the appropriate size for the current you.
* No body’s perfect, so don’t try to be someone you are not in terms of how you eat your food. Don’t suddenly plunge into a different routine when trying to follow or start a diet. If you are eating habits are not what can be regarded as normal don’t make drastic changes, work with the required changes for your diet and allow your body to start to take to the changes that are coming your way.
* Physical exercise can be a bore if you it’s not something that you are used to doing, don’t go head strong into a belief that a particular physical exercise will result in weight loose. Doing a exercise routine that is not you will lead you to failure eventually, so make the most of some activity that you like and ensure that you use it to your benefit to aid you diet program.
* Not every day is a winner, life throws many things at us and it can easily throw our routines into disarray when things don’t go our way. There will be off days when dieting will be last thing on your mind, don’t fret you are human and you are allow to eat those food that you have told yourself is not good for you, let your hair down and make the off day work in your favour... But don’t forget the end goal and that this blip is just that a small obstacle to overcome.
* That old adage you are what you eat is true, eat the wrong foods like processed foods in greater quantities and your body will not work towards to your weight loss program, eat natural foods and the diet will work in time.
* During the diet remember you are your own person...don’t draw comparisons with celebrities just because they are a similar size to you. Guides on ideal weight are just only guides, it’s not set in stone that you have to achieve a set weight to enjoy the fruits of you victory to loos weight, the benefits of weight loss may come across quickly for some and for others it may take some time to adjust to the new you.
Once you have gained that self control of eating what is right for you in terms of portions size and type of food and you fully know the benefits of that control your mind will adjust and you will be happier for that fact.
* For all your successes achieved celebrate the milestone and treat yourself so that you can be proud, but don’t let your guard down for food
* Dieting is not the end all and be all of your life, unless dieting is a necessity to enable you to live, in most cases it’s the former, so don’t get obsessed with dieting there is more to life that just that.
