Continuing the sport lux theme designer Derek Lam sent his models down the runway in a modern yet architectural style collection for spring/summer 2012 at New York Fashion Week.
Lam’s models had a hint of 1960s chic suburbia about them as they adorned lattice-sleeved sweater tops with complimented by an array of sunshine yellow and sky blue hue graphic print skirts.
Contrasting to the 60s Lam also brought in a fabulous coral full length jumpsuit with sleeves and skinny gold belt, making any night out reminiscent of the Studio 54 era.
Clothing was also kept fun and edgy with kaleidoscope prints and tiled patterned sequins on white evening gowns which showed off intricate detailing and craftsmanship
For daywear models showed a complete u-turn of looks with striped shirts buttoned up to the top collar matched with a brightly coloured cardigan in wool over the top and complete with shantung navy trousers.
White blazers also ruled the runway for Lam as he completed the spring look with coral and white block trench coats showing women around the world that they can create a chic collection for any day of the week.
